The KOO Corner virtual platform is a thoughtfully designed initiative aimed at engaging, supporting, and empowering students of color within the Kingmakers of Oakland national district partner network. It fosters a safe, inclusive, and collaborative cultural environment that promotes positive narratives among Black male students, highlighting their resilience and achievements.

This mobile application functions as a comprehensive space for students, their support systems, and district stakeholders to participate in courses, cultural events, leadership development programs, and Street Teams. By providing a dynamic digital community, KOO Corner enriches the stories of Black male youth and underscores their journeys of overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

KOO Corner represents an innovative approach to leveraging cultural networks to build social capital and strengthen relationships. The platform transitionally shifts youth from a state of disengagement to active networking, fostering meaningful connections that facilitate personal growth and opportunity. Furthermore, it offers avenues to share resources that support both immediate well-being and long-term development, extending support beyond graduation into higher education and career pursuits.

The platform actively encourages Black students to develop confidence and agency, aiming to improve outcomes across education, community involvement, and future careers. Certain sections of KOO Corner are accessible to the broader community, emphasizing the importance of communication, partnership, and collaboration in advancing this movement towards equitable opportunity.
